Daniel,
Mighty mighty micro-macro, indeed :-)
Thanks for the great advises! I have successfully created a 1.2 second delay button using the micro-macro feature. I used 3 other remotes as donors and by pressing the 3 display/info buttons real fast, this VL610 was able to capture 4 signals. After about a few times practicing pushing the donor buttons (flexing the fingers!), it only took 3 tries for me to get the signals captured. All together, it took about 5 minutes to do this, I'm pleasantly surprise that this VL610 is that capable, consider how inexpensive it is!
I've timed one System Macro with 7 device steps and 9 delay steps at 13 seconds. So that was roughly about 1.2 seconds for each delay. Furthermore, since this remote counts each device selection as 1 step in the macro. I could also increase the time by learning the power on/off and input selections as single buttons, and cut down to 5 device steps and 11 delays in a macro. And that macro execution should be about 15 seconds.
Again, thanks for helping us to get the max capability out of this remote.
