It appears the Audio Authority requires a proprietary IR receiver.

Here's one of the FAQ's from the Audio Authority web page:

Q. What type of external IR receiver may be used with the BlueBeam?
A. The BlueBeam is not compatible with standard, 12 volt, modulated IR receivers. A special IR receiver will be available soon, so check this website for updates.

It appears that all except the Audio Authority will work with an external IR receiver. I was ready to buy the Audio Authority unit until I read that you have to use their proprietary IR receiver.
