There's a vocabulary problem here!

A single number is a command. Three digits, that is, a DirecTV channel number, is not a command, but a series of commands. If you're somehow able to record all three numbers directly to the Pronto, that's amazing and to my knowledge has never been done.

You're able to teach a command to the remote that will take you directly to, say, 249? If that's so, try teaching a command that will take you to 222 and see what you get.

Do what bomberjim suggests: learn each number, then use ProntoEdit 4, the latest version that can be found in the Files section, to create a macro of three numbers for each channel you want to go to via a single button press.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
