So to confirm, you have the 3.5 end plugged into the Quartet and the other end is cut with two wires connected to the signal and ground input phoenix connector on the RP6?
Could you have the wires reversed? (Ground and Signal?)
The popping, is it only when you try to get IR to pass through or is it constant?
