All good information - thanks. I still haven't blind-scanned all the birds as it takes 10 minutes plus each. Very tedious. Another question. I'm using an el-cheapo linear LNB (18$). I have two and although both work, the signals I'm getting from this one are better than the other. If I sprung for a higher-cost QUAD style LNB a la Invacom Quad QPH-031 KU LNB (about 69$) would I notice an improvement in signal strength do you think? Is there anything FTA wise on circular polarity worth chasing?

I have no idea what brand this motor is. Its one of the Chinese sweatshop ones sold on Mathieson. Its very well built from what I can see. It looks identical to the SG2100 H-H Motor including the graphics on the box.

Agreed on the microwave engineering - but I'm 100% terrestrial so satellites are new to me. :) I'm learning fast though.

If you know of a more up-to-date site than Lyngsat let me know.

Cheers!
DJ
