Maybe at one point he did have a sincere question, but shortly after posting he simply figured it out on his own accord. Maybe he actual felt like he should respect everyone elses time here on RC and thought he'd remove the needless thread he had no need to check on. Of course you can't remove a thread once posted...only edit it into nothing, which obviously didn't help the kill the attention it still received.
but if you post, take the time to figure it out, test it, come back and edit a post/ thread title then there is a message about it (when it was last edited) :)
Maybe we should lobby Daniel for the ability to close/delete the threads we, ourselves have created. If for nothing else than the possibility of Stamp taking the OP's desire to heart, and closing that completely useless "zip cord" thread in the CI Lounge.
I don't like the idea of deleting threads, use that zip thread, now you polluted it a lot so the guy wants to get rid of it :) , but there are many people that spent time responding in it. Why should one man have so much power to kill their posts. Now if there are no other responses, it is not a big issue, but how would you like it if Wesley Mullings could come back and kill his thread because he is tiered that 6 years later we are all still laughing at his stupid idea and how insane he sounded trying to defend it?
