You are inferring that only the IR Receiver isn't taking the direct line-of-sight commands.
Does the TV take the commands with no problem, or are they also in your IR Receiver "system"?
The IR receiver is under the TV. It blinks like it is receiving the signal from the remote (when I aim directly at it), but nothing happens. It blinks as well when I shoot the IR off the wall, but the commands work as desired.
The TV takes the commands without any problem either way.
