What I meant was that lots of people forget that when you are learning from the original remote on to the Pronto you need to learn from the correct end and they get caught out by pointing the original remote at the same end you send the codes out from when using the Pronto every day.

You have to point the original remote at the "bottom" of the Pronto where the Learning IR is in the little black dot. (not the "top" of the Pronto where to have the big black plastic window for sending the IR to your components). You point the original remote at the end that has PHILIPS printed under the two hard buttons.
