So what we are saying is:
It may be possible that a shipment of LCD screen was used for the silver Pronto, that are dimmer. This has not, that we know of, affected the US model.

If we ARE looking at a specific era of production, then Daniel is correct, we need the PL numbers, 8 digit serial numbers where available. I DO know that the developers are asking questions about which untis, specifically are affected. This info will help greatly.
