a few reasons.
1 . they wont be available via consumer channel . you will still need a CI to get one of these in your home.
2. you can use your own macros with discrete commands and all , a big missing feature from the harmony remotes
3. its similar to the URC MX450 and MX810 - i actually sell a ton of MX450 for small systems. i actually never sell IR kits anymore due to the fact that the MX450 with MRF260 are so close in price to an IR kit, and now the C3 with RF base will be even closer in price to an IR kit . .
4. harmony = trouble. they are crap, fall apart very quickly, and the software is so limited its frustrating. lack of discretes really annoying

I would like to believe that but of course, that will likely not be true. They will be on ebay and ever other online reseller within 30 days of their release.
