Would it be possible to either put me in touch with the guys working on this, or to ask them if they would be able to provide and update on this ?
I'm in the position where I have 3 URC remotes that I need to setup for my Sky+HD box and I'm loath to begin learning every button press on all three if I can avoid it.

I do know we're looking into this. Some boxes handle their IR codes in weird ways that make it very hard for learning remotes to reproduce them. This is one of those boxes. I'm not in engineering, so I have no timeline or details, but I do know the team is exploring options on this.
