could this be an issue of 'repeats' ?
i've only recently 'found' this functionality on URC remotes.
if you highlight a particular button then click on 'ir data' you can search for the brand and model then cycle thru the ir commands, what you notice is that ALL the codes in the database have the 'repeat' set to 3!
i don't have access to a URC remote just now but perhaps someone that does could delete a command from say the 'cursor up' button then use the 'ir data' method of replacing the command from URC's database but reduce the 'repeat' to 1.
incidentaly the factory codes for 'record' and 'fast forward' simply do not work on the remotes i have programmed.
