Just posted two fully assembled IR4PS3 adapters here and here.  They are fully assembled and guaranteed to work.  They include a USB cable for power.  Just needs to be plugged into an always-hot USB port (not on the PS3) and then paired with your PS3.
These were used with Logitech Harmony remotes, but can be used with any other universal remote unlike the Harmony adapter that logitech just released.
