Anyone have experience with these? I'm beating my head against the wall trying to get ours to work via rs232. The serial protocol is pretty confusing for this stuff.

I'm hooked directly to one of four monitors. I'm sending all kinds of 232 commands from RTI's library and I can't get any response. Occasionally I get a "00CB04BE" from the monitor when I haven't sent a command. I'm trying to decipher the 232 documentation to figure out what this even means.

Right now I have a null cable going to the rearmost DB9 connector on the monitor (labeled as IN in the manual).

Any insight would be greatly appreciated
