If all of your activities are controlled by discrete commands then you can achieve all the functionality of the Harmony right from the home screen.

The difference with the Harmony technology is that if you do not have discrete commands they try to remember the state of your devices based on the previous commands sent from the remote.

Obviously the voltage sensor option is much more accurate than that because no guess work is involved!
