Yes it is. For things that need to be controlled via RF, put the codes into a device (not macrogroup) that is set for RF.
For things that need to be controlled via IR, put the codes into a device that is set for IR.
This is one of the reasons why on older models, we recommend the use of Hidden IR code pages, one device (not macrogroup) per piece of equipment such that each piece of equipment can be set for RF or IR.
Then, update your config such that all you user (UI) panels contain buttons that link to these hidden codes in the appropriate device.
