All of my codes from my 7000 work fine when converted to 9600.

Interestingly, 900x codes are converted back to 0000 format when migrated. I have not experimented with learning as yet to see if I get 900x codes when I actually learn the codes again.

I have found IR much more reliable even without the extender. Using direct IR I could point the 9600 almost anywhere and the codes still got through.
