Lyndel / Lowpro, thanks for the answers. I guess I had heard (read) correctly but if the learned codes go directly to the computer/config, then it's not an issue. Sorry about the silly question; I don't yet have my 9600 but am trying to learn as much as possible ahead of time.
I have installed and run ProntoEdit Professional (as Lyndel may have advised in a different thread actually) and noticed that the Philips database, while extensive, is not necessarily comprehensive. I think it is missing some of the gear I have; some older, some not so old and I will have to do some learning.
BTW, I have found ProntoEdit Professional to be very similar to my Marantz Touch Screen Setup software...
