Hi Folks,

I am pulling my hair out with a RFX9400 problem. I also did the programming for the TSU9600. Works great on IR. Does not want to play well with the extender.

The RFX9400 is showing the busy light, when the TSU9600 is sending, so it means it is getting to the unit ok.

I believe all of the settings are correct:

Stand Alone mode, Channel 1, tried dips in normal or low with no joy. Unit # is 0. In my initial testing at my office, it was not working and so I changed the rotary switch a few clicks and moved back to 0 and it came to life.

I have the IR codes within each device collection. All devices set to use Device 0 (except Home) and I have chosen the correct IR ports on the 9400 to match the double-rack install.

Flashed all of the firmware yesterday on TSU9600 and RFX9400 but no joy.

When using the 9400 in stand-alone mode, you do not have to do any discovery or anything like that with the wireless network, right? No plugging into the PC for any initial setup?

In fact, a weird thing happened. Client indicated it was talking to his wi-fi network or at least the 9400 was recognized on the network. I thought in stand alone mode it would not even try to talk with the wi-fi network?

I am using two high-powered blasters with the 9400, to avoid a lot of wires and stick-on emitters. In my initial testing at my office, it was working fine with one of the hi-powered emitters. I had a portable DVD player on my desk and was holding the hi-powered blaster about 8-10 feet away and it was working very well, plugged into the Port 1 on the 9400.

Interestingly, I just talked to another client who was having the exact same problems with his 9400. I replaced the unit for him a few weeks ago. When he first set up the new unit it was mirroring the old unit and not working. But he tells me when he switched it to channel 3, it began to work.

So, I will try that as well and see if we have any joy. Any other thoughts out there?

Thx Dave
