Thanks for the info. I have someone coming in a couple of hours to set up a new access point for me. I'm told it should have better range/coverage. I hope that will be adequate. If you have any other suggestions or tips that I can communicate to him, please let me know ASAP. The new wireless router I purchased for him to set up is the Linksys WRT54GX2 wireless-G router with SRX200.
In case it is important, here's what I presently have:
I have a cable modem (Cisco uBR900 series) connected to a firewall unit (WatchGuard Firebox SOHO6) that then is connected to a 16 port router/switch (3Com Office Connect Dual Speed Switch 16 plus). Connected into that switch is my wireless access point (Dlink DWL-700AP ... to be replaced with the new router) and also the RFX9600. I also have multiple other things into that switch including lines that lead to other PC's in the house, the Escient Fireball and my Netstreams Digilinx audio distribution system.
