I did not recommend disassembly. My experience comes from the 2000 or 1000, in a meeting someone spilled coffee, and I got the call, at the time there were a few threads in the old Pronto format and went with the same advice. drop a few drops of lukewarm water to try and dissolve any residual (sugar in both, acid in Pepsi) then place it screen side down so that the liquids run out or away from most important electronics and let it dry and then put the battery back in
