not with a 9600, but there are several similar threads in the classic section.
1) remove the battery (electricity and high sugar liquids don't mix). 2) then try some clean water(just a few drops, there can be sugar causing the button to stick) 3) put it upside down so that the liquid can come out 4) let it dry completely (overnight is good) 5) hopefully all is OK
