I would like to say thanks to Daniel Tonks for not only a great contest but also a wonderful website. I also wish to say that all the contest entries where very unique and showed a lot of creativity. Needless to say André’s ‘Prototypes’ was very cool and deserving a first place. I also really liked Noel’s ‘Simplify’ and thought the animation in David’s ‘Black Magic’ was stunning – that had to take an enormous amount of time to create. I certainly would not consider myself to be in the same league with some of these individuals when it comes to graphical talent. I am not a graphics artist by trade, but I am constantly learning. All those individuals that share their ideas on this website should also be thanked. This is what truly makes this site great. The constant sharing and learning from other’s designs makes us all of strive to make our own designs better and think of new and unique ways to control our systems.

Now I did not have time to fully finish my own design to my liking prior to submitting it for the contest. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I have been tweaking a lot of the graphics since then. Plus I have fixed a couple of bugs and made some adjustments with the spacing of the buttons. I will be submitting this file soon. As a thank you, I will also be submitting all the Photoshop templates. So, for those that liked the design, you will have the ability to create your own buttons and place your own pictures in the backgrounds. I am currently working on a step-by-step guide on how you can personalize this file to your own liking.

I would like to thank all those that voted for me. I was pleasantly surprised that I came in second – especially considering the talent that was shown in all the other submissions.

If anyone has any questions or comments on the design, please feel free to e-mail me.

Sincerely,

Scott
