I assume this is meant as the 9600 communicates over the wireless network, to the wired (ethernet) Extender.
I ran 2 Cat6 lines to my system area, for further expansion, and that will make for an extremely easy integration to hook this unit up.
As far as the WPA or WEP. I could care less, as my neighborhood has a good distance between houses, and surrounded by woods.. Everyone here has their own Internet, no question about that. Although it would be nice that an update would come someday, its no big deal for me.

The 9600 sounds like the state of the art unit I am interested in... :) As this would be a fantastic entryway to home integration....
