The touchscreen on the TSU9600 is superior to that of the remotes in the Pronto NG line. The experience you are describing with your TSU9600 is not normal. I suggest redownloading the latest firmware to the remote for good measure, then calibrating the touchscreen. To open the calibration screen use the hard button combination, Backlight + Menu + FirmKey1.
