System.setGlobal is exactly what I used to get this working.

some code;
if (error)
{ System.setGlobal ("MSG", "respective error message");
CF.widget(action_jump_to_error_page, error_page, activity).executeActions;
}


and in PS of error_page:
error_panel.label = System.getGlobal("MSG");
