I'm not sure. The TX-NR905 streams Internet radio directly.
The TX-NR901 uses Onkyo's Nettune software on your PC
as an intermediary for Internet radio streaming. I don't
recall there being any way to add your own stations via
Nettunes.

Yes that is correct, the TX-NR 900 and 901 uses Nettune. You can get the reciever to connect to the network without running Nettune, however if it doesn't see Nettune it displays not connected. I have not done any setup changes as of yet. I'll try a few things to see what happens.
