I adopted XP in 2004 after running 98SE for many years. XP, for me, has been great. However, I've dealt with both good and bad Windows releases. Remember Millenium Edition (ME). What a piece of crap. I look at Vista with tainted eyes as well. Requires pretty much all new hardware to work well and I just don't feel like spending the big bucks for a new PC. I'd rather spend the $1K for 2 26" desktop displays (the new Samsung/NEC Syncmaster T260's are great).
