Yep, as far as I've been able to determine doing a manual 000 through 255 extended function code (EFC) search no Sharp TV I've owned has discretes for power or inputs. I've got a 46" sharp LCD and a 20" Sharp flat screen CRT. They both work with each other's remotes.

My strategy at the moment it to map states (ON or OFF) in an extended JP1 programmed OneForAll universal remote. When it arrives, I'm hoping my newly purchased Harmony 880 remote will do the same thing, keeping track of whether the TV is ON or OFF as I change activities, as well as what input it currently is using.

My Aquos LCD has a feature that lets me disable unused inputs. Once done, the INPUT toggle skips those inputs and gets quickly through the loop to the one I want. Entering a channel number is essentially a discrete for Antenna input. From that point one or two INPUT presses gets me to Component1 or HDMI1 respectively.
