and when the 950 came out I got 5 of them to sell. Well

Ive sold over 200 URC devices between th3 mx600-650-350-800-850-900
and for the most part until the recall of the mrf250 last
year had little problems. Now it seems the only thing
that works is RTI.......... I really like the URC stuff
and the price point is much different then the RTI stuff.

You usally get what you pay for, but the MX-950 is a pretty reliable remote and has been solid for me. What type of base unit are you using? Do you have RF issues due to to interference? You need to be more specific about your problems. Most problems have fixes or contingency procedures that need to be addressed before you give up on it.
