1. You can't combine buttons to make a larger button. The screen is fixed in the 3 x 4 arrangement. The only thing you could do is put identical IR codes on adjacent buttons and put a TWO - WORD "button" name such as DENON POWER using two buttons, but they would be so far apart that the user wouldn't necessarily associate the two as being one button.

So, really, the answer is no, you can't combine buttons.
