I had no problem obtaining the MX-980 Software from URC
after a phone call and a fax to URC, But currently I am
having problems with recognizing the remote as a usb device.
It will state that the USB Device is an Unknown Device,
fom my experience that usually means the drivers are incorrect.

When I look in the directory "C:\Program Files\Universal
Remote Control, Inc\MX-980 Editor\Usb" all the folders
have a driver file with similar naming scheme.

ie.
mx3kusb
mx3kusb_XP_x86
mx3kusb_Vista_x86

From the naming, it seems like it is for MX-3000. I have
tried to force Windows to use the all three drivers (through
Device Manager) and am unable to gain connection using
MX-980 Editor. I have tried it on two different PCs with
the same result.

I was hoping someone could check to see what is the driver
name on their system. I think the install that URC supplied
me does not have the drivers for MX-980 but only for the
MX-3000.

Also is there a certain procedure to installing the software?
