After installing the vmx extras :

First you will need to completely quit the VMWare app. then:

You need to go to the preconfigured Option, after opening up your .vmx it should pretty much take you to the file, and set USB HID to "Show USB HID"
Save the settings then open up your VM.
I found that if you turn on the USB, on the bottom right of your VM window, specifically the OHSUNG URCHID usb it should see it as a HID device and I had no problem uploading/downloading to a MX-900
