Even if
your TV doesn't have buttons for the specific inputs,
that doesn't mean the codes don't exist. For example,
my JVC HDTV does not have discrete codes for the inputs
on its own remote, but my URC MX-900 does have the discrete
codes for the inputs.

I just have to chime in to say i DID NOT know this. i've had the Nevo SL (great remote BTW) for almost a year now and didnt realize i could use discreets even when the original remote doesnt have them. fortunately my TV and reciever have discreets for the inputs on the original remotes but where it would help me is with Power commands in my activity macro's....

THANKS!!
