I was told to post the following question here:

I couldn't find a general remote forum, so if it's there and I missed it, please let me know.

I am looking for a remote that can do the following:

Select a specific "up" button on a remote, select several presses of a "right key" then the center "select" button of the remote. When I want to watch a DVD, I have to press the up key of the device button, scroll over with one of the directional keys, then press the select button. I then have to select DVD on my receiver.

This is a problem for other people in my household and visitors. I don't really plan to use the universal remote for much else. I just need it to be able to do the above (and similar macros) with the press of one button.

Considering this, what would be the lowest cost option to accomplish this? I tried the remote selector on this website and checked the reviews of some of the responses. But, I wasn't sure from the reviews, if the remotes could accomplish the above.

Thanks.
