You could always add an IR extender kit forom Zantech, Russound, Speakercraft, and many others for about $110.
The small IR receiver (about the size of a pack of gum) is usually placed by the tv or somewhere out in the open.
It transfers the IR signal to the components in the cabinet.
If you're heart is set on frosted or solid wood doors, it is a great option.
