Well, my Nevo SL won't learn from any remote. Yeah--latest
firmwear.

And the Motorola DVR codeset (6412 and 3416) is inexplicably
missing the "On Demand" function. And I don't see where
to enter a hex IR code. And the documentation is full
of terms that aren't in the Help index.

And I can't make the button sizes right because I chose
an undocumented theme. And I can capture the "up" graphic
to resize it but not the "down" graphic. And I don't know
how to create the button "gloss" from scratch in Photoshop.

I have spent way too much time on this. I guess it's time
to toss the remote and eat worms.

Bruce, I guess there are couple of things here. In regards to the "On Demand" function not being in the codeset, sometimes I find that commands are named differently in NevoStudio than they do on the actual remote. Take Tivo for instance. There is no "Tivo" command in NevoStudio, but the "PVR menu" command is the same thing. You may want to load up a few buttons on an interface to test with and see if it's just called something else in the software. Another thing you can try is to click on the mynevo.com button while you have your Motorola device selected. This will bring up a bunch of other commands that are not normally part of the standard code set and thus your "On Demand" button might be there as well.

You can definitely enter in Hex commands though. Just click on the button that looks like an IR signal with a plus sign on it in order to add a command via Hex code. It's works very well (although the way you enter in Hex codes in the new NevoStudio Pro is like a dream).

Regarding your up and down states for your graphics. If you take a look at the buttons that you should have in the following location on your hard drive:

C:\Program Files\Nevo\NevoStudio\gallery\buttons\Standard Jelly

You'll notice that each button is setup as two separate files and that NevoStudio automatically associates the two depending on how you name the files. If you take a look at the file names, you'll notice that they are the EXACT same except that the upstate ends with an "_0" and the downstate ends in an "_1". Just put two files in a folder like this, make sure the naming conforms to what I just mentioned above, and you should be able to create buttons out of practically anything. Just in case you were wondering, the two files do not need to be exactly the same size either because NevoStudio doesn't care. I created a button out of two files that weren't exactly the same size and it worked just fine. I'm not sure if this helps with the issue you were having, but there it is.

Don't give up on the Nevo so fast, it's a very sweet remote...but if you feel like getting rid of it, it sounds like TouchCommander can find it a good home. :-)
