Wow well that is relief to know that the SLA5500 will work. I got in a rant in another thread because one of the RC9800i team said it was not compatible.

Maybe I will buy one then to play around with and see if I like it....then maybe buy more for other rooms. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other music only adaptors.

Can you confirm the firmware version you are using ? Maybe you are even using the Noxon firmware ? I know the SLA5500 is just a Terratec Noxon repackaged in Philips branding.

I know you can browse media on the RC9800i and send it to the SLA5500 but then I'm curious after that...with the RC9800i can you see the status of the SLA5500...that is what is currently playing ?
