Greetings, I just purchased this remote and got it home. I have a wireless B/G network (both b and g are broadcasting using WEP open key 64 bit encryption and I have several B & G wireless devices connected to the WIFI via DHCP without problem).

The RC9800I will successfully connect and pull an IP only about half the time and the signal strength is 1 red bar, if that.

Is there some kind of "weakness" issue with the wireless antenna built in? I cannot seem to connect to your EPG server for more than an instant at a time - but none of my other wireless WIFI devices, laptop, PDA, etc, have any problem on my network.

My PDA is a wireless B device, my laptop is a wireless G (the router is a D-Link DI-624 running the latest firmware).

Can you offer me advice? Often the signal strength is so low so as not to even be detected by the RC9800i - and like I said, my PDA (and my husband's PDA) have no problems connecting to the router with good strength.

Even if I take the RC9800i right up to the WIFI router itself and hold it against the antenna, I get no more than two bars of strength - and no internet connectivity, despite the fact that it is indeed pulling an IP from my DHCP pool. It just seems as though the signal is far too weak. Something must be wrong.

Advice? Suggestions?
