The Philips RC9800i is not a "Pronto" remote. The Philips Pronto series are programmable, the RC9800i is not - it can learn IR codes but that doesn't mean programmable. So with a Pronto you can program it to do anything you want. But there is a learning curve to Pronto programming if you've never done it before, and it will take longer to setup than an Activity based remote.
