Here some answers to your questions:

I found this remote on the internet and am hoping that
you will be able to answer some of my questions.
Is it able to play sort of like scripts which are programmable?

Simply no. It is not a programmable remote, but the delay issue you mention can be tackled.

I need it to turn on tv, wait for 5 sec,

This can be done

|press menu button,
go down 7 times and press menu again. Things like this.

This is very hard and virtually impossible. You can do some automation with dummy devices see forum for the details.

I am interested in the media server function. My idea
is to use the remote to control my pc in the living room
for music. Will I be able to see all the files on the
remote or does that only work if you play music on the
remote itself?

Its functionality is based on UpNp devices such as the streamium sl400i media renderer. If you can configure your pc as such a device it is possible. You cannot control your pc over the network only send upnp commands

|And when I go to bed, i will put it in
the cradle next to my bed, to stream the music to there.

This is possible and works as you describe. For this you need to install a UpNp media server on your PC and the PC must be on. Alternatively there are network Hard disks which also function as UpNp servers, then your PC can be switched off.

Do I understand it correctly that if I update the firmware
with the european version I could use an US model as well?

I've read stories that this is possible, but haven't tried it myself so I will not make that claim here.

They sell for approx. 250GBP less. Does anyone have experience
with the EPG and Uk SKY?

No, only the Netherlands
