How is the 9800i not customizable? Don't Pronto's all
have some sort of ProntoEdit or similar software for 100%
control over the menus/macros/etc?
You're right and therefore this is not a pronto device and designed with a different philosophy. So to set things strait, this remote is NOT programmable with software and therefore not suitable for an exotic hardware setup. If you need customization you might want to look at the newest pronto remote which is programmable and has a similar design, but be prepared to spend a few $$$$$$.
[Link: pronto.philips.com] I have the old TSU3500/RU960 and greyscale is wearing
a little thin now :) But it's ability to design the menus
and macros is second to none...
this remote doesn't support designing macro's and menus either.
