very accurate review -I'm also a contest winner that's had mixed feelings about the 9800i...now i don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but it seems silly that the buttons are hard-coded: to use my TiVo I have to scroll through 4 pages to get back to the PVR MENU button every time I want to get to the NOW PLAYING list. And since Page 4 is the TV Guide, which takes forever to load, I typically just use my Tito remote instead.


While there are several nice features I think Philips really dropped the ball on this one. Adding a software config utility is a MUST (like the tsu7000) -if customization was a possibility I'd gladly pay $500 for this remote.
