Paul - Found this via a google search. Just bought a 9800i on amazon, and I have the exact same problems as you... I've gone through the exact same troubleshooting steps as well. Switched router to WEP, then WPA, then nothing... tried assigning a static IP address, etc.

It finds the SSID, but the status is always "Not connected".

There aren't a lot of others that I've seen this issue. I wonder if it's related to my Wireless-N router? (I've set it to BG-Mixed mode).

Anyway, did you ever send up solving your problem? If so, I'd love to know how!
