I'd appreciate it if one of you gentelpersons can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a remote that will receive as well as send and then display the received info on an LCD or sorts.

What I am trying to do is build a remote like the one Creative Labs provides with their Wireless Music system, except not the Creative one. I am building a file server that will be remotely located and likely will run Slim Server to provide playback of my FLAC library. One the receiving end I am considering using Squeezebox because it works with Slim Server and will playback FLAC files without compressing them. This is key and necessary for my application.

Ideally I want a remote that I can use to browse through my library to choose albums to play without having to use a monitor (tv or otherwise) and not having to squint to see the tiny Squeezebox display all the way across the room. It would be even cooler if this remote could display things like coverart and album info, maybe I will look to some sort of Girder plugin for this to happen, but I haven't got a clue which remote I might need to be able to display such info.

Other wants but not needs would be:
Key important tactile buttons such as Play/Stop/Skip Fwd/Skip Back/Vol up/dn.
I prefer buttons to touch screens but not against them altogether.
I prefer narrow designs that you can wrap your hand around rather than wide Sony/Pronto types
Ergonomics would be nice

If you guys have other ideas on how to tackle such control playback of very large libraries I would be all ears.

Thanks a bunch,
Josh
