I have an MCE remote clone, an IR receiver that was built into my case and hooks up to the USB header on the MB. The remote controls the PC also. I an start and stop songs change the volume, mute, etc. without having installed any software, I have XP Pro by the way.

My issue is my PC doesn't recognize all of the commands from the remote, and I'd also like to program some of the buttons to run .bat files and such. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good free software that might allow me to do this. I have found a lot of software but it's mostly for serial ir receivers. I tried Girder, it's not free, and it doesn't recognize all of the commands either.

Any ideas for software. It has to work with USB receivers.
