start by reading the previous posts.
but putting it simply you need three things

1) how to use the SW? it is not hard, but needs some practice

2) what do I do, how do I configure the remote? this is 100% you, and no one can give you that answer, what I like is not what you like.

3) where do I get the tools (icons) to build my PCF? you can use a bitmap editor or you can use icons created by others.

By downloading PCFs and CCFs created by others you get practice on the SW, you also get ideas on what you like and what works for you, and even if you don't like the look/feal of a particular config, it might have a button or two that you like and want to add to your config. That is why we highly recommend just playing with different configs at first.
