Have you installed the firmware update? I use a Dish 6000 and a Dish 501 and have not had any problems as of yet. You might check my PCF's on the file area and see if my 6000 commands work for you. They are on address 1 while the 501 is on address 5.
I see you said UHF, actually you will be using the 6000's IRcodes to control your 6000 (the remote sends both IR and UHF out at the same time). The pronto does not do UHF.
