I disagree. Until I downloaded the software for the ProntoNG, I owned no software that didn't run just fine on my PC using Windows 95. Upgrading software just for the sake of staying current makes no sense.
To me, I had to consider the cost of the ProntoNG as $350, because I had to factor in the additional cost of upgrading to WindowsME (I would have needed additional hardware if I went to XP), becauyse that's the only thing that really needs it.
