Are you sure about this? I was told by the installer that the receiver was UHF only. The remote actually has IR capability, but I was told that the IR was for controlling other components. Have you used 6000 codes for an 811?

I can understand the mistake if he was saying that the REMOTE will only send UHF commands under the dish setting, but he seemed insistent that a Pronto wouldn't work.

Really I would be happy with even basic functionality. So my wife can turn everything on, set the appropriate inputs, and select channels in one place.

I guess I can try it in the meantime. Just haven't had time to do anything, nevermind reprogram my setup from DirecTV to Dish.
